Continuation of mining and related activities at Tschudi Copper Mine. Ongopolo intends to continue mining the Tschudi copper deposit in accordance with the existing approvals, mining methods and approved Environmental Management Plan. It must be noted that the mine is currently under Care and Maintenance since February 2020. However, the mine is working on a restart plan and is planning to commence with operations towards the second or third quarter of the year.
The proposed development of the Otjimbingwe Service Station. The project entails the construction of a standard service station with 4 dispensing pumps (petrol and diesel) with 3 double walled Underground Storage Tanks of 45 cubic meters. The service station will also have a canopy covered forecourt, ablutions, tyre fitment and oil changing facilities, convenience store and street upgrading in order to provide safe access to the proposed service station.
