Regional summary of population density derived from Figure 6.01 using the shapefile of regions (Fig 5.17). The

 

compilation:

population density grid provides values for the number of people in each square kilometre. In this shapefile, population

 

 

density is split into 7 categories (7 attribute fields). The value in each category equals the number of square kilometres

 

 

(in each region) having that population density range.
