The dataset was obtained from the Carnivore Atlas Project in early 2001. This project is ongoing and significant

compilation:

amounts of data have been collected since then. Contact Flip Stander for information or updated data. Data in the

format of sighting records (species, long, lat).

Data quality and organisation

Positional Accuracy:

Data accuracy is, for many sightings, not very accurate since the data have been collected by members of the public, and

often not using GPS etc.
