Notes on data, analysis and

This file contains data in the following format: station name, total records and then 8 columns which represent the

compilation:

number of observations from each direction. There are 8 directions, each of 45 degrees. Thus the first column

represents wind coming from 22.5 - 67.5 degrees (between north-northeast and east-northeast), the second column is

67.5 - 112.5 (between east-northeast and east-southeast), etc. The last column indicates the number of records with no wind.
