A crude depiction of the escarpment zone in the north west of the country using several tools: a) altitude range in a

compilation:

10x10 km grid (Fig 5.35), b) elevations grid (Fig 2.02), c) altitudinal profiles (Fig 2.03), d) geology shapefile (Fig 2.04).

This shapefile represents a subjective delimitation and may not reflect the views of the majority. It should be noted that

delimitation of the escarpment zone in the north west is particularly difficult and is open to debate and interpretation.
