Here’s an overview of what the workshop entails: Purpose Maintenance and Refurbishment: The workshop will be used for maintaining and refurbishing locomotives and wagons, ensuring they are operational and efficient. Hydrogen Conversion: It will also focus on converting locomotives and wagons to hydrogen power, aligning with the project's goal of reducing carbon emissions. Scope and Size Site Area: The workshop will cover approximately 50 hectares of the 525-hectare Net Zero Industrial Park. Facilities: It will include specialized equipment and facilities for mechanical repairs, parts replacement, and system upgrades. Importance Carbon Reduction: Supports the project's objective to cut carbon emissions by approximately 800,000 metric tons annually. Economic Impact: Expected to generate employment opportunities and contribute to the local economy through its construction and operational phases.
