Namwaste (Pty) Ltd proposes to develop a new general and hazardous waste treatment and disposal facility in the Erongo region (to be known as the Namwaste Management Facility (NMF)), which will address the pressing shortage of solutions for hazardous waste management in the Country and contribute to the protection of the environment whilst also creating employment opportunities and fostering economic growth. The following listed activities in terms of the EIA regulations of 2012 are triggered by the proposed project: 1. Energy Generation, Transmission and Storage Activities 2. Waste management, Treatment, Handling and Disposal Activities 3. Mining and Quarrying Activities 5. Land Use and Development Activities 8. Water Resource Developments 9 Hazardous Substance Treatment, Handling and Storage 10. Infrastructure.
