In terms of section 22 of the Inland Fisheries Resources Act, 2003 (Act No. 1 of 2003), I, in consultation with the Zambezi Regional Council and relevant Traditional Authorities, hereby declare the Zambezi River system shared with Zambia as a fisheries reserve for the period 1 November to 28 February annually. The inland waters of the Zambezi River shared with Zambia shall be closed for all fishing activities except for recreational fishing activities.
